Manipulation of people or events is best practised by those with the prerequisite skills of empathy, guile, intelligence, political savvy and foresight.

Those who do not possess these skills should steer well clear of trying to manipulate others; as their scheming is clearly visible, and their reputations irreversibly damaged.
