During the course of drinking a bottle Pol Roger, al fresco at the Brighton Beach Club, a wasp appeared and was duly trapped underneath a salt grinder.
Unfortunately, owing to circumstances beyond my control, as and when I smote it with my champagne glass the stem broke.
Please be assured the glass was empty at that point and no champagne was wasted. I am also happy to report that the wasp was well and truly squashed!
