The only effective form of sanctions are those that physically destroy a country's industrial and economic base.

Sanctions

Sanctions do not bring a country or its leaders to "reason".

Instead they entrench attitudes, bring about a siege mentality and harm those least able to protect themselves (ie not the leadership of the regime being targeted).

In short, sanctions do not work!

Addicted To Sanctions

Those countries that slap sanctions on all and sundry who do not meet their moral/ethical approval may care to reflect that if they sanction too many people, organisations and countries they may well end up isolating themselves from the global financial system.

Economic Sanctions

Economic (non military) sanctions are the last resort of the powerless and angry.

Sanctions

Sanctions are the most effective method of unifying a country, and strengthening the leadership of that country.
