Words of kindness and thanks, for a job well done, often mean more than mere money.
However, when thanking someone for their service/work don't forget that people have to be able to buy food and shelter and words alone won't enable them to do that.

Advice To Some People
It doesn't cost you anything to say "thank you" for a favour/free advice, but it may well cost you dear not to say it!
